Background

Who I am

I'm a UC San Diego graduate with a background in biology and extensive pre-medical experience. Before applying to medical school, I worked as an EMT — which shaped how I think about medicine and gave me a realistic picture of what the path actually looks like.

I scored a 518 on the MCAT, placing in the 95th percentile, and was accepted to 9 MD and DO programs. I'm now an incoming medical student.

Tutoring

How I got into this

I started tutoring while in college — first helping classmates, then working with pre-med students on MCAT prep and high schoolers on AP coursework. Every student I've worked with has shown improvement.

I tutor because I enjoy it and because the MCAT and medical school application are genuinely difficult to navigate alone. Having a guide who has done it recently and done it well makes a measurable difference.

Why me

What sets this apart

01
Recent, verified results
I took the MCAT recently and navigated the current application cycle. The landscape changes — outdated advice can cost you points and acceptances.
02
No curriculum sales pitch
I don't sell a program or push a particular prep company. Sessions are built around your diagnostic weaknesses and your timeline.
03
Clinical background
Working as an EMT taught me how medicine actually functions outside of textbooks. That context is useful when explaining MCAT science and advising applicants on how to talk about clinical experience.
04
Direct communication
I'll tell you what's actually weak in your application or your practice scores — not what you want to hear. That's what moves the needle.
